[edit] Siteswaps for animations made more obvious
I think it would be useful if animations were always accompanied with their siteswap. Currently if the page does not include the siteswap, the only way to access this information is via the 'edit' link. This is not going to be very useable for the majority of visitors to this site. I can think of two options:
- The juggle custom tag dispays the SS below the animation
- We create a template that wraps the juggle tag
I like the second option, it is more flexible, however it would mean changing a lot of pages. Jack, what are your thoughts?
[edit] Integration with IJDb records
I would really like to see JuggleWiki integrated with the IJDb records section. It would be great if the IJDb record page for each trick could link to the correct page on JuggleWiki.
[edit] Comments
There needs to be a way of commenting at the bottom of the page, and I think this would be much better than being able to edit other people's pages. I find on YouTube that the comments of a video are much more useful than the video itself. Which also reminds me, that youtube has most videos of nearly all juggling tricks and so in the comments people would be able to post links. I wanted to post a proper 4 ball rubenstein video seeing as none of the animations is a 4br but wasnt able to and i cant be bothered to edit the page.
[edit] Categories
There needs to be more subcategories (maybe not links but instead of alphabetical grouping?). Some essential categories: Async Siteswaps, Sync siteswaps, Multiplexes, Other tricks (I think this just leaves tricks with hand movements like mills, factory etc, and all the stupid tricks that no one wants to see like those 29 ball rubenstein etc etc so that we dont accidently click on them. Oh and some sort of naming system not just whatever (like the trick called "6 more" is just ridiculous why not just call it by the siteswap that would be much better).
