[edit] Basic Pattern

Rick Rubenstein put a high catch and toss into Mills Mess:

...and added, as a response to Steve Mills, a Reverse Orbit for those two balls:

The blue ball is always a U-ball; the green ball is an Outside toss; the red ball is always a Cross-arm Reverse,
just like Mills Mess.

Back when Take-outs were a big deal, it seemed impossible for anyone to ever duplicate Rick's marvel.
As many did manage the basic pattern, it became the step to "advanced" that MM became to be "intermediate",
and then became almost a "basic pattern" for any serious juggler -- though many still give up in frustration.

A video of the basic trick can be found at Matt Mangham's website, with his animation tutorial.

But what made it "Revenge" instead of "Rick's Response" was a more impossible use of Claw hand positions.
The animator cannot show that, but you can see the Penguin Toss and Claw Catch in a brilliant video tutorial.

To make more time for the orbits, you can toss the U-ball higher as:

You may prefer another order of toss and direction of the Orbits:

Here the Outside toss is the '5', and the two Orbits do not go in Take-out directions.
