Ben Schoenberg
From JuggleWiki
Ben learned to juggle when he was 13 from Juggling For The Complete Klutz, and was hooked right away. In high school he tried to learn the 5 Ball Cascade, but couldn't until he joined the Carnegie Mellon University Juggling Club, where several really good jugglers practiced, including Jack Kalvan, Rick Rubenstein, and Pat Mc Guire. After being sidetracked briefly by the plan of being a math professor, Ben started a juggling equipment company, Serious Juggling, in 1994 in Portland, Oregon, USA. Ben married Yvette Beaumont in 1999.
His highest number so far is a flash of a 10-ball Synchronous Fountain, but he enjoys practicing and watching all sorts of juggling as well as numbers. Ben placed third in the first (and only) International Jugglers Association Intermediates Stage Competition in 1993, and won the 5 km joggling race in 1992. He directed the IJA Numbers Competition from 1996 through 2004, and served on the IJA Board of Directors from 2000 to 2004 (two terms).
