3 Ball Shower

[edit] 51 Shower
It will be important to practice on both sides, including reversing.
You can make the '1' pass across any distance you choose.
The wider the pattern, the harder it is to keep steady, and the more it looks the way people expect.
You can choose the height too, higher is slower and requires more accurate tosses.
Speed and accuracy are how you will, or won't, do this very simple but quite demanding pattern.
You can start it by making two '5' tosses from the same hand while holding the third ball in the other hand,
or start a '5' from a hand with one ball in it, and make the '1' pass from the hand with two balls.
To start Shower from within Cascade or other normal patterns, you must do something else.
The easiest "transition" is by using '522' as:
- 52 51 2
Another common way is '42' as:
- 4 51 2
Another way without the '2' pause uses '441' as:
- 4 51 41
[edit] (4x,2x) Sync Shower
Making both tosses together, or "sync" for synchronous, is like doing 3 Ball Box in one direction.
This has become a common form for this basic pattern.
By itself, it will start like the '51' Shower.
[edit] Under-arm Shower
[edit] Alternating Shower
[edit] Double Shower
[edit] 51 Mills Mess
There is the Mills Mess Cross-arm toss, then an Outside toss, then an Under-arm toss -- but only with one hand.
[edit] 615150
This has been called Shower with a Leak for the extra spurt up now and then.
It will start and connect as '4 615150 2'.
