3 Ball Box

A helpful pattern for learning 'Box' is the 2 Ball Box.

[edit] (4,2x)(2x,4)

also noted as (4,2x)* to show repeating with the hands exchanged to return to the starting condition.

The shape that the balls trace, two sides and a bottom, gives this pattern its name:

The pattern is synchronous, two ( tosses, together ), with the '4's as Columns.
Synchronous Siteswap Notation does not normally use odd-value numbers, so the '1' pass is '2x'.

'Box' may have more variations, and patterns named for it, than any other basic pattern.
